Impulsive Banana & Coconut Breakfast Smoothie

I dont know about you, but I'm pretty bad at buying things out of impulse, not too bad, but bad enough that i come home and think why did I buy that? Being a chef, my impulse buying usually consists of some sort of seasonal or exotic food, that a normal person wouldn't give a second glance to. For example, in January I came home with a bunch of Celariac, needless to say I really didn't know what to do with them, considering I had never really liked the taste of Celery. Another time would be when I decided to buy Dragon Fruit for my friend and I. They look beautiful but have very little taste to them.

Anyway, todays shopping was no exception. I found myself sitting at home with a coconut. After sitting staring at each other for a good 10 minutes, the coconut and I knew what had to be done. After a scene that could very well have been taken from a horror film, which consisted of me hacking and stabbing at the coconut with a various assortment of kitchen utensils while its milky insides splattered over me with every heaving blow, I managed to drain the liquid into a cup and split open the husk. It was at that moment I realised that although I enjoy the taste of coconut, it was very unlikely that I would eat more than a quarter of the flesh as the taste of raw coconut gets very boring, very quickly.

Determined not to have bought the husked devil in vain, I quickly devised a recipe ( yeah, I googled it) for a easy coconut milkshake.

2 Bananas, chopped
milk of 1 coconut
1 cup of milk
Some honey (to taste)

1. BLEND!!!!!
2. DRINK!!!!!

So there you have it, let me know what kind of foods you have bought on impulse. Until next time bros, carry on cooking.
