Advent Chanllenge, Day 4: Festive Eggnog

December 4th

Your Eggnog's Too Strong.

"If you see a fat man,
Who's jolly and cute,
Wearing a beard,
and a red flannel suit,
and if he is chuckling,
and laughing away,
while flying around,
in a minature sleigh,
with eight tiny reindeer,
then lets face it...
Your eggnog's too strong!!!"

Now that it is Christmas time, its time for those all important festive drinks to warm you up on a snowy winters night and none is better at doing so than Eggnog. Almost like a mix between a liquor and a sort of custard. Served hot or cold, it has those perfect seasonal flavors and smells. So here is my Festive Eggnog Recipe

Festive Eggnog Recipe

Ingredients
2 Pints of whole milk
6 eggs
50g of caster sugar
1 vanilla pod, split
200ml of brandy
fresh cherries, halved with stones removed
cocoa powder

Method
1. Place milk, eggs, sugar and vanilla pod in a saucepan. heat gently until the mixture coats the back of the spoon but do not boil.
2. You can now chill it or serve it hot. In some serving glasses, place some cherries in the bottom then divide the brandy between them. Pour the eggnog mix on top and dust with cocoa powder.

I hope you have some fun with this recipe. Remember to check back tomorrow for my Advent Challenge, Day 5.post. Until then bros, carry on cooking.
